Attend Battle of the Halls
- Battle of the Halls will take place on Tuesday, August 20 during Welcome Week
- If you’d like to play a game, you’ll sign up at your Living Learning Community meeting on Monday, or you can just show up to support your hall at the event!
- To earn credit: Complete the Self-Report form to let us know you were there! Make sure to go to the Welcome Week verification portion of the form for this event.
Group Study Session in the Library
- Did you know there are study rooms in the Torreyson Library on campus? You can find rooms for just one or two people and group study rooms for three to six people. You can reserve them online ahead of time too! You can also find numerous table and lounge seating throughout the library.
- To earn credit: Take a picture of you and at least one other person studying in the library or working on a group project. Complete the Self-Report form and upload the picture.
Listen to podcast featuring UCA employees
- You have 3 different choices to listen to but you’ll do the same to earn credit: take a picture/screenshot of you listening (be sure to show what podcast you are listening to!) and complete the Self-Report form and upload that picture/screenshot. You only need to select one of the options below and listen to one episode, but maybe you’ll get hooked and binge the whole season!
- 1. StudentLingo online workshop: Adulting 101 series
- To access the Adulting 101 series: log into StudentLingo using your UCA credentials, search for “Adulting 101” or find the series listed under Additional Workshops.
- Dr. Amy Baldwin, a senior lecturer in the UCA Department of Student Transitions, is featured in the episode Resiliency Rebound: Bouncing Back Stronger from Setbacks and Failure.
- 2. U@UCA Podcast
- Created by the Division of Student Affairs to support student success, U@UCA features Alex Smith-Todd, a staff member, and Emily Greer, an involved student leader. Each episode highlights campus resources and features conversations on topics that matter to our students with a rotating cast of UCA staff members and students.

- Through interviews with UCA Alumni working professionals, the podcast discusses their different career tips and tricks, key motivations, and how they have risen to the top.

Attend 2 residence hall/Living Learning Community events
- Your residence hall and Living Learning Community will host events throughout your time living in the hall. You can find out about these events on CubConnect (you’re automatically a part of your hall’s page) or through your Housing student staff (like your RA) living in the hall with you.
- To earn credit: Scan in using your CubConnect Event Pass while attending the event.
Meet with your Academic Advisor
- This one is super easy! You are required to meet with your academic advisor in preparation for registering for the upcoming semester’s classes.
- To earn credit: You’ll complete the Self-Report form after you meet and include the date you met, their name, and email address.

Meet with a Professor during their office hours
- Did you know your professor’s hold “office hours” – which is time outside of class where they are available to meet with you to provide support for class. Professors include these dates, times, and preferred methods of communication on their syllabus. Make sure to read that over and figure out if you need to make an appointment.
- Remember, your professors work in a college setting because they care about your academic journey. It can be hard to ask for help, but they also want to see you succeed!
- To earn credit: You’ll complete the Self-Report form after you meet and include the date you met, their name, and email address.
