Bio: Tammy Rogers is an associate professor of finance in the Economics, Finance, Insurance & Risk Management Department at the University of Central Arkansas. She earned her B.A. in French, summa cum laude, and completed her Ph.D. in Finance at Texas Tech University. At Texas Tech, she earned the Paul Whitfield Horn Research Fellowship and completed both years of the School of Applied Banking graduate certificate program. Dr. Rogers joined the faculty at UCA in August 2007. She teaches Managerial Finance, Investments, Advanced Financial Management, and the MBA Finance course. She serves as the faculty advisor for the finance and investment club. She has received awards from her peers twice for excellence in teaching. Prior to coming to UCA, she earned the School of Business Research Award at North Georgia College & State University. Her publications include Cato Journal, Small Business Economics, Journal of Sports Economics, Review of Business Research, and International Journal of Business Disciplines. She has presented at the Financial Management Association, the Academy of Financial Services, and the Southwestern Finance Association. She serves as a reviewer for several journals and textbooks and is a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Entrepreneurship and Public Policy. Her research interests include entrepreneurship, financial services, and financial markets. In her spare time, Dr. Rogers is frequently found riding her motorcycle on the Arkansas back roads.
