COB Student Ambassadors

The UCA College of Business (COB) Student Ambassadors engage, connect, and serve as representatives of the college.

COB Student Ambassadors are key leaders for the College and:

  • provide feedback about their experiences at UCA and COB to Dean Hargis and COB faculty
  • help share COB programs and news with friends, family, peers, and the general public
  • represent the College at recruiting and special events throughout the year
  • lead other students and help to build a strong COB
  • learn about resources and be the “first to know” about all the best COB opportunities
  • receive one free photo session for professional headshots and COB swag
  • experience unique opportunities for professional development, networking, and mentorship with COB faculty and staff, the COB Advisory Board, community business partners, industry experts, and potential employers
  • are often recognized for their work as COB Student Ambassadors when they apply for internships, jobs, or scholarships

To be considered, applicants must:

  • be currently enrolled as an undergraduate business major or MBA, MAcc, or MS-DA student
  • have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • attend a minimum of 4 meetings per year (2 fall & 2 spring)
  • assist with a minimum of 2 preview days throughout the 2022-2023 year
(examples: Bear Facts Day, Bear Necessities Day, Admitted Student Open House)
  • assist with and/or attend a minimum of 2 professional development opportunities per year
(examples: Davis or Allison Lecture Series events, Career Fair, Women in Business Development Luncheon)
  • assist the Dean’s Office with special projects as needed
  • commit to representing UCA and the College of Business in a positive way in person and on social media
  • exhibit responsibility, dependability, willingness to volunteer, and a commitment to the University of Central Arkansas, the College of Business, and the business profession

*Please note that students who are completing an internship should not hesitate to apply. We understand that internships take time and may mean that you cannot attend some meetings. However, an internship takes priority since it is the goal of COB to help students get hands-on experience. Students completing internships, or with special circumstances, may work out other ways to serve as ambassadors with the COB Communications & Projects Coordinator.

COB Student Ambassadors represent our diverse UCA student body, and the program is inclusive to all persons regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, and religious/spiritual affiliation.
