Leister E. Presley, born Aug. 16, 1912 was called into Military Service in 1941 at age 29 during WWII, where he served over 31/2 years in the Supply Company of the 85th Reconnaissance Squadron, 5th Armored Division. In 1991 the Presley Family made arrangements to donate their papers to UCA Archives upon their deaths. Mrs. Cloie Presley (Leister’s Wife) died in Nov. 2004. His father, Luther Presley passed away in 1974. The Presley’s Papers have been in the Archives at UCA.
Leister Presley’s papers are contained in 3 boxes and consist of the news magazine for the 5th Armored Division Association; The Victory Division News collected and saved from March 1979 though March 2005. This news magazine is published quarterly in March, June, September, and December.
