Ms. Burkett was born April 9, 1903, in Tennessee. She received both her M. A.and Ph. D. from George Peabody College for Teachers. After several positions at home and abroad, she came to Arkansas State Teachers College in 1963, retiring in 1971. In 1970, the Archives received the first of her donated collection. After her death on June 17, 1994, the Archives received enough materials to fill 12 boxes.
This collection contains four series in twelve boxes and is arranged by chapter or alphabetically. Note: When requesting material, please specify collection number M86-4, Series number, Box number and file number.
