M11-06 – DR. SALLY RODEN COLLECTION

Dr. Sally A. Roden graduated from Winnsboro, Louisiana High School in 1956 and Texas Women’s University in 1960.  She received a Masters of Science Degree from North Texas State University at Denton, Texas in 1969 and a Doctor of Education degree in 1978.  She came to UCA as the Technical Director of Theater in the Fall of 1969 and became Assistant Professor of Speech and Theatre Arts in 1978, Professor of Speech Theatre and Journalism in 1984 and Dean of Undergraduate Studies in 1993.  When she retired in April 2012, she served 42 years at UCA and was Special Assistant to the President.
