Corporal Rex Horn, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Horn, attended Portland High School and Magnolia A & M (now the University of Arkansas at Monticello) and entered the Army Air Corps in 1940. Horn trained at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri and Las Vegas, Nevada. He was killed in a training exercise at Las Vegas on March 3, 1941.
