Language Immersion Application Instructions

The deadline to sign up for Language Immersion programs is Friday, Feb. 23rd. Complete all steps below to secure your spot!

Step 1: Complete the online application accessible at the following link:

Spanish Language Immersion in Costa Rica Application

Chinese Language Immersion in Shanghai Application

Step 2: Make an appointment with our office

At your appointment, be prepared to submit the following:

1) Receipt of payment: A $500 receipt of deposit is required. Students may pay the deposit on CASHNet.

CASHNet Instructions:  Log into myuca.edu; enter CASHNet portal; Click on Make payment/Add-on charge; Education Abroad Trip Deposit; Add to basket; Check out.

2) Turn in the course approval sheet with signature of faculty leader(s) showing approval for courses abroad. 2018 Summer Education Abroad Course Approval

3) Bring your passport (or a copy) to the office. Apply for your passport as soon as possible if you do not have one.

4) Be ready to sign all paperwork at your appointment. Paperwork is provided in the Office of Education Abroad.
