Beginning of Each Semester
- Stop by the Student Success Center to pick up a free Academic Planner
- Review Brightspace for your online coursework.
- Read the class syllabus: Identify Contact Info, Office Hours, Textbook and Course materials, Homework and Lecture Policies, Course Calendar, Grading Rubric, and Absentee policy.
Early Semester/Mid-Semester
- Make a plan to study in the Tutoring and Academic Success Center (TASC), the Library, or somewhere other than your room at least twice a week
- Make an appointment to review your study strategies and time management plan with a peer Success Coach
- Complete these and other Student Lingo online workshops
- Improving Student-Faculty Relationships
- Top 10 Financial Questions & Answers for College Students
- Schedule an advising appointment for Spring Advanced Registration (October/March)
- Discuss possible minors or even a second major with your advisor; check out uca.mymajors.com for ideas
- Attend at least one in-person Academic Success Workshop
- ENGAGE with a career coach – Engage with employers – Engage with alumni
- Go to a career fair to look for internships
- Check out the options to Study Abroad next Spring or next year
- Join a club and be open to leadership opportunities
- Visit the W.O.W. (World of Work) closet where you can get 1 professional outfit per year for job interviews
- Apply for UCA Foundation Scholarships (October – Mid-January)
Late Semester
- Review your syllabi for due dates and final exam dates
- View and make YOUR Finals Schedule
- Plan your study schedule for final exams and projects, and make tutoring appointments as needed
- Organize group study sessions or attend one in the Tutoring and Academic Success Center (TASC)
