Integrated Business Experiences

In the UCA College of Business, students experience more than just textbooks and lectures in the classroom. Faculty introduce students to experiences similar to those in the business world by integrating activities into the courses. Some integrated business experiences include:
  • Projects allow students to apply what they have learned and demonstrate how it can be used to make business decisions.
  • Case studies allow students to role-play the part of a business professional in solving a business problem.
  • Simulations are iterative activities in which students make business decisions and then see the effect of their decisions which drives their next decision through several rounds.
  • Service learning simultaneously connects students to their community and to the courses subject matter; while students to provide service to an organization, they are learning how to interact in business.
  • Certifications and experience with software allow students to develop expertise and demonstrate skills used by business professionals.
