ASTL Programs of Study

Instructional Facilitator/Lead Professional [Graduate Level]

UCA is an ADE-approved provider of the Instructional Facilitator program of study that leads to the Instructional Facilitator licensure endorsement and the Lead Professional Educator certificate (approved for candidates entering 2021).

  • Instructional Facilitator Only (License Code 521)
    • Complete the approved 15-hour program of study (see courses below).
    • Submit a passing score on the current Praxis Principles of Learning and Teaching (PLT) exam.
  • Instructional Facilitator and Lead Professional Designation
    • Complete the approved 15-hour program of study (see courses below).
    • Demonstrate coaching competency by completing a DESE-recognized coaching training. Any DESE-recognized coaching is accepted. These trainings are frequently offered by Arkansas Education Service Cooperatives. 
  • Entry Date Guidance (per ADE requirements)
    • Candidates entering Fall 2022 but before Fall 2024
      • For IF and Lead: program of study + DESE-recognized coaching training
      • For IF only: program of study + current PLT
    • Candidates entering Fall 2024 and after
      • For IF and Lead: program of study + DESE-recognized coaching training
  • Experienced Mentor Teacher

    • Completers must provide evidence of a DESE-recognized coaching model to be considered an Experienced Mentor Teacher.
