Hazing Defined
Hazing, as defined by the Stop Campus Hazing Act, is any intentional, knowing, or reckless act committed by a person (whether individually or in concert with other persons) against another person or persons regardless of the willingness of such other person or persons to participate, that (1) is committed in the course of initiation into, and affiliation with, or the maintenance of membership in, a student organization (e.g., a club, athletic team, fraternity, or sorority); and (2) causes or creates a risk, above the reasonable risk encountered in the course of participation in the IHE or the organization, of physical or psychological injury.

Reporting Hazing
We encourage our campus community members to report hazing as they become aware. Hazing reports can be made directly to the Dean of Students office and the Office of Student Life. Reports can also be submitted through the 313-TALKUCA, Student of Concern Form, and the University of Central Arkansas general incident report form. Click here for an extensive list for ways to report hazing at UCA.
The Student Medical Amnesty policy provides an avenue for students to call for emergency support for students who need medical attention when alcohol or drugs are involved. We encourage our community to see something, say something. Click here or the icon below to learn about the Student Medical Amnesty policy in relation to hazing.
313-TALKUCA is an anonymous text line in collaboration with RealResponse. This text line allows students to report hazing without fear of retaliation. Click here or the icon below to learn more about 313-TALKUCA.
The Student of Concern Form allows the UCA community to report any concerns about a UCA student. This form can be used if you are concerned about a student participating in or joining any student organization. Responses from this form are routed to the Dean of Students office and the Director of the Counseling Center. Click here or the icon below for a direct link to the Student of Concern Form.
The general incident reporting form can be used to report any knowledge of hazing incidents. Responses from this form are routed to the Dean of Students office. Click here or the icon below for a direct link to the University of Central Arkansas general incident report form.
