Entering Freshman Academic Scholarships

How to Apply for Academic Scholarships
  1. Apply for Admission to UCA by December 10, 2019.  For information about the Admission application, visit the Office of Admissions and Enrollment Services.
  2. Meet all eligibility requirements of the 2020-2021 Academic Scholarship Policy by December 10, 2019.
Scholarship Deadline – December 10, 2019
  • Required documentation must be submitted to the Office of Admissions and Enrollment Services.
  • The ACT/SAT test must have been taken within the last five (5) years and no later than the October 2019 ACT or November 2019 SAT test.
  • If a student is graduating from high school early, a 4th or 5th semester transcript will be considered.
  • The student must have completed remediation requirements.
  • Scholarship award letters will begin being mailed to students no later than January 10th.
  • Students awarded the Achievement, Excellence, or Presidential Distinguished scholarship must live in University housing to receive the Housing Award and therefore the Annual Total Award. Click here to learn more about University housing options.
  • Academic scholarships will only apply to charges for in-state tuition, room/board, and mandatory fees directly assessed by the University. The housing award will only apply to housing charges directly assessed by the University.

  • Please note that all institutional scholarships are competitively awarded and limited based on available funds.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to ensure qualifying transcripts, test scores and other required documents are received by the established deadlines.
  • Entering UCA Institutional Scholarship recipients are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) prior to disbursement of their scholarship for the first term in which they are enrolled.

  • Students must remain in good academic standing as described in the current UCA Undergraduate Bulletin.
  • Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 15 UCA undergraduate credit hours as of the 8th class day each semester during the term of their scholarship.
  • Semesters included in renewal consideration: Fall, Spring, May Intersession, 8-week Summer Session, & Summer I.
