Program Outcomes

Program graduates are active in pediatric clinical practice in a variety of settings and are actively providing contributions to pediatric physical therapy within and beyond their individual practice settings.

Program graduates have contributed to pediatric physical therapy practice advancement through ABPTS certified pediatric specialization, ongoing research, PhD completion, advanced clinical certification, academic teaching, clinical teaching, mentoring in the UCA Pediatric Residency Program, presentation at regional and national levels, and publication in peer-reviewed journals.

Program graduates have been instrumental in contributing to the ongoing development of the Pediatric Residency Program through serving as mentors in the Program, as well as through participating in ongoing program development. Within their chosen practice settings, graduates of the Pediatric Residency Program have been instrumental in developing initiatives that have facilitated service provision to underserved populations. Examples include a community sports camp, pediatric wellness consultations and social media outreach to parents of children with special needs.
