Dr. Lara Davis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and a licensed physical therapist. She is a Board Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. In May of 2022, Dr. Davis received her PhD in Physical Therapy degree from Texas Women’s University in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Davis received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2016 from Texas Women’s University in Dallas, Texas and her Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Sciences in 2012 from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. She completed the Clinical Anatomy Certification Program at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas in the summer of 2021. Dr. Davis joined the UCA Department of Physical Therapy in the Fall of 2021 and is teaching in the areas of Gross Anatomy and neuromuscular coursework in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Prior to joining the faculty at UCA, Dr. Davis taught in the DPT program of Texas Women’s University serving as a Visiting Assistant Clinical Professor at both the Houston and Dallas campuses as well as serving as an adjunct faculty member at the Dallas campus. Dr. Davis has been clinically active in Dallas, Texas working in private practice specializing in head and neck disorders, and treating patients with a variety of orthopedic and neurologic diagnoses. Her research interest is in the area of physical therapy education.
