ACTS – Conway, AR

ACTS stands for “Acting Creates Therapeutic Success”. We partner with a local organization (Independent Living Services/Profiles) in Conway to lead a program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This program provides an opportunity for individuals with an array of abilities to perform in a theatrical production. We meet together weekly; we divide into groups and practice our scenes. The participants are the stars of the show and the volunteers (that’s you) help to lead these groups and facilitate success! This is a wonderful opportunity to see OT on the community level and learn from the participants about the importance of participation in meaningful occupations. No acting skill or experience is needed to join us!

Spring rehearsals will begin February 13. We will have a small orientation on the first day for those that are new to ACTS. We meet on Mondays at ILS from 3:30-5:00pm. ILS is located at 615 E. Robins St. Conway, AR. There is no performance this semester, just preparation for a fall show. Spring semesters will run from February 13 through April 17 (we will not meet over spring break).

If interested in participating, please sign up via google forms link below. This way we can have record of your contact information!
