The University of Central Arkansas College of Education Pinning Ceremony is held annually at the end of the Spring semester. The ceremony is for both Fall and Spring graduates. The Pinning Ceremony serves as a formal transition from student to professional, symbolizing your entry into the teaching profession. We will also take this time to celebrate excellence within our community by presenting our annual student awards.

Arrival & Seating:
To ensure the ceremony begins on time, please arrive between 12:30 PM and 12:45 PM. UCA faculty and staff will be there to guide you to your seating.
Attire:
Please wear professional attire to this event as each graduate will walk across the stage and be recognized.
Ceremony Highlights:
- The Pinning: Each graduate will be recognized individually and presented with a pin that symbolizes the sacred trust and dedication required of the education profession.
- Annual Student Awards: We will honor outstanding students from the Departments of Teaching & Learning; Elementary, Literacy, and Special Education; Leadership Studies; and Student Transitions.
Additional Information:
- Graduates do not need to register. Please arrive on time to participate in this event.
- Families are encouraged to attend the ceremony.
- There will be designated seating for graduates, and volunteers will be available to guide the graduates and families to the appropriate seating areas.
