Joseph V. Arn Teacher Education Scholarship Fund, Delta Pi Epsilon, Gamma Tau Chapter
The Joseph V. Arn Business Teacher Education Fund is created as a current restricted fund of the University of Central Arkansas Foundation. INC., to provide scholarships to students pursuing a teaching license in Business and Marketing Technology or a related field through the Masters of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program at the University of Central Arkansas.
Expenditures from the fund shall be only with the written approval of the MAT Program Coordinator, Chair of the Department of Teaching and Learning, and selected faculty members from the Department of Teaching and Learning, and the Dean of the College of Education with final approval by the president of the Foundation. The Teaching and Learning Chair and the MAT Program Coordinator shall serve as co-directors of the fund.
The following guidelines shall be used in the selection of the recipients.

Applicants shall be students pursuing a teaching license in Business and Marketing Technology or a related field through the Masters of Arts in Teaching program at the University of Central Arkansas.

Applicants shall have a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA.

Recipients shall be selected by a committee composed of the MAT Program Coordinator, Chair of the Department of Teaching and Learning, and selected faculty members from the Department of Teaching and Learning.

The scholarship shall be paid in one installment (up to $500.00) on the date of registration one time per year.

The application opens in October and closes in January.

Mary Jane Fortier Distinguished Scholars Fund

To apply: Submit a letter of interest to the PhD in Leadership program, along with application materials required for admission into the PhD program.
Selection Criteria
- Recipient shall be a student seeking a doctorate in Interdisciplinary Leadership.
- Eligible students must have begun careers in the field of K-12 education and should exemplify excellence in educational leadership and a commitment to promoting innovation and improvement in the field of K-12 education.

Father Lachowsky Scholarship

Who? Student majoring in Special Education (BSE/MSE)

To apply: Submit the online application including statement of need to the Department of Elementary, Literacy, and Special Education before April 1.
Selection Criteria
- Recipient shall be a student majoring in Special Education (BSE/MSE).
- Priority will be given to students currently enrolled in Special Education Masters Program.
- Selection is based on academic performance.
Harold & Sue Love Scholarship

Selection Criteria
- Recipient shall be a student majoring in Special Education or pursuing a teaching license in Special Education.
- Recipient shall be an undergraduate or graduate student accepted into the College of Education with a minimum G.P.A. of 3.00 or better.
- Consideration shall be given to need.
Verna Leola Harris Lamkin Scholarship

Amount? $1200 annually (divided between fall and spring semesters)

- Recipient shall be an undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Special Education or pursuing a teaching license in Special Education (BSE/MSE/MAT).
- Minimum 3.0 grade point average.
- Consideration will be given to need.
Gladys Sachse Scholarship

Who? For a student majoring in education that has been admitted into the Graduate School who plans to become a school library media specialist. Student shall have taken the GRE. Consideration shall be given to financial need.
Amount? Two awards of $1,000 each for two years maximum per award winner.

- Recipient shall be a student who majored in education and is admitted into the Graduate School and plans to become a school library media specialist
- Student shall have taken the GRE with a minimum score of 1000 or higher (verbal + quantitative)
- Selection committee will consider need in awarding the scholarship
