Internship I is an introduction to the experience of being an intern teacher with a focus on building skills and confidence in the planning and delivery of lessons. Candidates integrate theory and practice as they apply knowledge of current research in teaching and learning. Candidates engage in critical reflection and demonstrate professional educator dispositions by building rapport with students, planning and teaching lessons, assessing student learning, and collaborating in a professional learning community. This internship provides candidates with the foundation necessary for continued professional growth and development in Internship II.
