Internship I is an introduction to the experience of being an intern teacher with a focus on building skills and confidence in the planning and delivery of lessons. This internship provides candidates with the foundation necessary for continued professional growth and development in Internship II.
- Candidates integrate theory and practice as they apply knowledge of current research in teaching and learning.
- Candidates engage in critical reflection and demonstrate professional educator dispositions by building rapport with students, planning and teaching lessons, assessing student learning, and collaborating in a professional learning community.

Approval for Internship I is predicated by your admission to your program of study. You must be fully (not conditionally) admitted to your program of study in order to apply for Internship I.
