Observatory

DESCRIPTION:

The primary telescope of the UCA Observatory is a Meade 14-inch aperture LX200R GPS telescope.  The observatory is used for faculty and student research projects and public observing nights.

 

LOCATION:

UCA Campus,  Lewis Science Center; Observatory entrance is in the front lobby

Longitude= 92 degrees 27 minutes West  Latitude= 35 degrees 5 minutes North

 

PUBLIC NIGHTS

The observatory is open to the public the third Wednesday night of the month (if the sky is clear) for a couple of hours after dark. A few additional Wednesday nights have been added for Spring 2016.
