School Leadership, Management & Administration – Program Admin.: Gifted and Talented

The Department of Leadership Studies has approval from the Arkansas Department of Education to offer a Post Master’s Certificate in Building-level Leadership as Program Administrator with emphasis in Gifted and Talented Education for individuals with an appropriate master’s degree and a GT teaching license. Candidates complete core leadership courses and engage in an internship over at least two semesters (19 semester hours). In addition to the 19 credit hour Gifted and Talented PMC, up to six hours of graduate-level gifted and talented coursework may be assigned based on transcript analysis. Candidates must have four years of teaching experience as a GT teacher and meet Arkansas’s passing score on the School Leaders Licensure Assessment (SLLA) before making application for the license.
