Change Leadership for Equity and Inclusion (Ph.D.)


Vision: The Change Leadership for Equity and Inclusion (CLEI) Ph.D. program prepares professionals from nonprofit, public health, government, business, K-12 education, and higher education to contribute to the body of knowledge in leadership studies and to enhance human and community development through their research and service.

Mission: The Change Leadership for Equity and Inclusion Ph.D. program prepares students for leadership roles. Graduates will understand their roles in conserving, expanding, and transforming the discipline of leadership studies, research, and leading toward an improved quality of life for all.

Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission, applicants must submit the following items through the Graduate School application dashboard:

  1. Evidence of a completed a master’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.00;
  2. All documents required by the UCA Graduate School including official copies of all undergraduate and graduate transcripts;
  3. A completed application to the Interdisciplinary PhD Leadership program that includes contact information for three references and responses to the following prompts (limited to 500 words per prompt):
    1. What is your vision of a good leader?
    2. What are you curious about?
    3. How would you solve racial inequity in hiring practices?
