Praxis Resources & Information

ETS Site Praxis Resources

Students can prepare for the Praxis I by using the following resources from ETS:

Praxis I Practice

The College of Education, Tutoring Services, and Writing Center offer students practice for the Praxis I Test through Northstar Workforce Readiness.  With Northstar, students can prepare for the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators (Core) tests with practice questions like those on the actual tests. Unlike workbooks, Northstar gives an explanation for each correct answer, so students can learn why the answer is correct. Automatic grading shows the areas of the tests where students need the most practice so they can focus on those topics.  Practice topics are available in reading, writing, and math.  Interested students should contact one of the following offices:

College of Education, Technology Learning Center (TLC) Help Desk
Mashburn Hall 102

“The TLC can provide students with access to Northstar and instructional materials related to the use of the Northstar system.  However, we are not equipped to provide tutoring services to students.”

Tutoring Services (Academic Success Center)
Torreyson Library 223

“The Academic Success Center is pleased to announce that we are open for FREE DROP-IN TUTORING for enrolled students!”

Writing Center
Thompson Hall 109

“Students can practice the reading and writing portions of the Praxis I exam in the Writing Center and receive feedback from our trained consultants as they work.”  –
