Required Education
The Office of Research Compliance (ORC) oversees compliance to the federal requirements for Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) training. This training is required for all undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students receiving funding to conduct research from NSF and NIH. All Principal Investigators receiving RCR-required awards are responsible for informing ORC of 1.) any awards they have received from NSF or NIH with RCR requirements and, 2.) any personnel paid from their award who may require RCR-training. The form below should be submitted to ORC within 30 days of receipt of the award or of hiring of new personnel:
UCA has contracted with the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) site to provide access to on-line research ethics instruction in various aspects of RCR. The modules include topics such as research misconduct, data management, authorship, peer review, conflicts of interest, mentoring and collaborative science.
