Exposure to live theatre ignites children’s imaginations in an unparalleled way, allowing them to connect learning through movement, language, social interaction and collaboration. Since 2015, the Main Stage Education Series has been serving our educational community in Central Arkansas and bringing in thousands of students each year from all across the state.
Each performance is carefully selected to be entertaining while educating the audience on an academic topic and integrating arts into the school curriculum. These performances are scheduled during the school day for student field trips and all shows are performed by professional, national-touring artists that provide high-quality performances. Educators are provided with study guides/resources created for the performance that will assist with education standards for the chosen field ensuring a valuable experience for the students.
With the success of the program we are planning the future of Main Stage so that generations to come can experience the magic of live performances. We have recently created an endowment for the Main Stage Education Series. This endowment will create a program funding outlet for years to come. A goal of Reynolds is to provide an opportunity for all students to be exposed to the arts regardless of their socioeconomic status or learning ability. With your generous gift you can help us reach this goal!
