What is New Bear Central?
New Bear Central is an online orientation experience! Through New Bear Central, you will complete various online modules featuring information about academic advising, paying for college and financial preparation, campus life, and academic and student services resources. These modules are created to prepare you for your transition to life as a college student. You should plan to complete all modules prior to the start of the semester. How can I start New Bear Central?
New Bear Central is hosted on Blackboard, UCA’s learning management system. You will use Blackboard in all your classes throughout your time as a UCA student, so New Bear Central a great way to get comfortable using Blackboard. To access New Bear Central:
1. Log in to myUCA.
2. Use the username and password provided in your acceptance letter from the Office of Admissions.
3. Choose Blackboard, and then under My Courses, select New Bear Central.
