Spring scrimmage and tailgate

The UCA football team will hold a spring scrimmage game at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 16, at Estes Stadium. Admission is free and open to the public. Grant to provide teacher education scholarship

Green receives grant to take teachers abroad

Dr. Brooks Green, Department of Geography, recently received a $64,000 grant from the Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad Program to take teachers to Russia this summer where they will travel from Moscow to Vladivostok via the Trans-Siberian Railroad stopping in Ekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and Irkutsk. Concert choir places in international competition

The University of Central Arkansas Concert Choir placed second overall in the 8th International Choir Competition at Riva del Garda, Italy. A total of 63 choirs participated in the competition. Forty-six UCA students accompanied by John Erwin, director of choral activities, performed in the competition yesterday.
