Inclement Weather Closures for Wednesday, February 1, 2023

Due to continued inclement weather and impacted travel in parts of the region, all instruction for Wednesday, February 1, will be canceled and campus operations limited to essential personnel. When classes are canceled, there are no synchronous requirements for students. Faculty will communicate with students regarding asynchronous assignments and adjustments to the syllabus and course schedule.

While essential services on campus will continue to be available for students, other business operations will be suspended. The hours for essential campus services are as follows:

Dining Options:

  • Christian Cafeteria will be open for brunch from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., and for dinner from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Chick-fil-A and Einstein Bros. Bagels in the Student Center will be open from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • The C-Store in the Ronnie Williams Student Center will be open from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • The C-Store at Bear Village will be open from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Other dining options or concepts may also be available. Check the UCA Campus Dining Instagram account @UCADining and Twitter account @UCACampusDining for the most up-to-date dining hours.

The HPER Center will be open from noon – 5 p.m.

Torreyson Library will be open from noon – 5 p.m., after which virtual services will continue to be available via the website.

The Ronnie Williams Student Center will be open from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Should you need non-emergency assistance from the Student Health Center between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, email shc@uca.edu and someone will contact you directly.

Only limited shuttle service between Bear Village and campus will be provided on Wednesday by calling (501) 269-5903. This shuttle is contingent upon there being safe and acceptable driving conditions. Please call the number above for more information, or check the Shuttle Instagram account @ucashuttleservice.

The IT Help Desk is currently operating on a normal schedule, however, there may be limited staff available to answer the phone. You can leave a message and a member of the Help Desk staff will be in touch, or for faster response and resolution you can submit an online help ticket.

Supervisors, in coordination with division vice presidents, should communicate with employees regarding on-site staffing needs for essential services.
