What is a Living Learning Community (LLC)?

UCA’s Living Learning Communities are designed to provide every student with an opportunity to connect with one another and their faculty both in and out of the classroom in a learning environment that truly becomes like a family away from home. With a classroom in each hall, students have the opportunity to take classes that are centered around their interests with their neighbors from right down the hall! Students develop skills and connections that support their academic achievement, a better understanding of themselves and others, and a greater ability to balance their academic and social life.

By living in one of our academically-themed residential communities, students will have access to a curriculum and co-curriculum that are designed to support their needs. Residents quickly become oriented to campus life with fellow students who share their academic and personal interests.

Living Learning Communities at UCA offers a range of programs that can fit any academic interest. All of our Living Learning Communities are partnered with an academic college that sponsors an Academic Coordinator whose role is to coordinate wide-scale faculty and student support. This support network eases the transition to college life and provides each and every UCA student with a group of peers with which they’ll navigate their college pathway.
