Voter Information for UCA Students

UCA’s nonpartisan Vote Everywhere chapter will have voter registration resources available outside the Ronnie Williams Student Center on National Voter Registration Day (Tuesday 9/15) from 11am-3pm. The deadline for new voter registrations is 30 days before Election Day, or Monday 10/5 in order to vote on Tuesday 11/3.

UCA hosts an Election Day polling site in Donaghey Hall open to any voter registered in Faulkner County.

In Arkansas, college students may register to vote using the address where they reside to attend college or using their permanent home address. A slide with information on how to check voter registration status and complete the voter registration process is available at uca.edu/go/voterinfo. To schedule a Vote Everywhere ambassador to visit your class, please contact Lesley Graybeal at lgraybeal@uca.edu with your request.

Help Us Tell UCA’s Story: Criterion 1 – Mission

This fall, UCA is preparing for our March 2027 reaffirmation visit from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Over the next several weeks, we’ll spotlight each of HLC’s four Criteria for Accreditation and release the corresponding section of UCA’s draft Assurance Argument for campus review.

We begin with Criterion 1: Mission. The Criterion 1 draft is now available, and we invite the campus community to help us make sure it accurately and completely reflects UCA.

Challenge Week 2026: Rural Communities – Local & Global

The goal of this year’s Challenge Week is to explore a diverse range of rural issues from a diverse range of perspectives, hearing from people who are working in our own backyard, our region, across the United States, and internationally. We’ll explore economic and community development, literacy, environmental justice, and sustainable local food systems in Conway and Latin America, spotlighting individuals working to make a positive change.

Of special note is the keynote speaker: Catherine Coleman Flowers, founder and CEO of the Center for Rural Enterprise and Environmental Justice (CREEJ) and one of the nation’s most influential voices on environmental justice and rural poverty. Ms. Flowers talk starts at 5pm, Wednesday, September 23 in the College of Business Auditorium. Refreshments starting at 4:30pm.
