Admissions & Enrollment Services team members at the University of Central Arkansas recently completed a highly successful recruiting week in Dallas, Texas, further expanding its reach and strengthening connections with prospective students in the region.
Throughout the week, UCA representatives engaged with hundreds of students, parents, and school counselors, showcasing the university’s exceptional academic programs, student support services, and vibrant campus life. While visiting the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) area, the Admissions Counselors toured 12 high schools and interacted with students at the Arlington ISD College and Career Expo. Among the schools they visited were Flower Mound, McKinney, Plano, and Allen.
When asked about the importance of out-of-state recruitment, Ashley Berry, Director of Admissions, noted, “We must be efficient and effective in DFW; making informed decisions about which schools to visit is crucial for allocating our resources.” This initiative reinforced UCA’s commitment to providing high-quality, accessible education while expanding opportunities for students outside of Arkansas.
“This recruiting trip was a tremendous success. We met many outstanding students eager to join the UCA community,” said Sydney Welch, Admissions Counselor at UCA. “Dallas has always been an important area for us, and the enthusiasm and interest we witnessed this week were truly encouraging.”
With a focus on academic excellence, affordability, and a strong sense of community, UCA continues to position itself as a top choice for students seeking a transformative college experience. The university continues to see growing interest from Texas students, and the success of this recruiting week further underscores the value that UCA brings to prospective students and their families.
“Our goal is to ensure that students know about the incredible opportunities available at UCA,” said Kevin P. Thomas, Vice President for Enrollment Services & Student Success. “Our efforts in Texas allow us to attract talented and focused students who will contribute to the university’s dynamic culture and academic excellence.”
The success of the Dallas recruiting week marks another step forward in UCA’s ongoing efforts to welcome students from across the region and beyond. With a growing presence in Texas and neighboring states, UCA continues thriving as a leading institution committed to student success.
