Clinical/Research Emphasis
Research Laboratory: The Auditory Processing and Learning (APaL) Lab investigates:
- Prevalence of auditory processing weaknesses in school-age children
- Perceptual learning following auditory-based interventions
- Relationships between dichotic listening and phonological processing abilities
Additional Clinical/Research Interests:
- Training speech-language pathologists to provide aural/audiologic rehabilitation services
- Incorporating person- and family-centered care in service provision
- Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DBIE) initiatives in Communication Sciences & Disorders programs
