Health Assessments

In Body

Body composition analysis is essential to completely understand health and weight, as traditional methods of assessing health, such as BMI, can be misleading. Going beyond your weight, body composition analysis breaks down your body into four components: fat, lean body mass, minerals, and body water. InBody can produce your results in less than 45 seconds and will help you keep track of weight loss/muscle gains.

UCA employees may complete a free InBody analysis twice per year. To schedule, contact Dr. Alicia Landry: alandry@uca.edu.

Veggie Meter

The veggie meter provides an objective indicator for fruit and vegetable intake in less than 15 seconds. You press your fingertip onto the contact lens of the instrument and it will measure the carotenoids in your skin through an LED light. Carotenoids are a group of antioxidants that give colors to the orange, yellow, and green fruits and vegetables. Measuring these can help you understand more about your fruit and vegetable intake.

UCA employees may complete a free Veggie Meter analysis twice per year. To schedule, contact Dr. Alicia Landry: alandry@uca.edu.
