BeWell Health Scores

Eligible employees may participate in a biometric screening and complete a Health Risk Assessment survey to earn a health insurance premium discount for the next calendar year. Complete both activities prior to October 31 to be eligible for a $20 per month discount. Complete both activities and score at least a 75/100 or improve by 5+ points from last year to earn a total of a $40 per month discount.

Onsite biometric screenings are conveniently offered on campus each year. Employees who are screened on campus have their results automatically sent to HealthCheck360. No form submission is necessary. As an alternative, employees are welcome to have a biometric screening performed by their own physician. Be sure to print and bring the Physician Wellness Screening Form 2020-2021 if you choose to have your doctor perform your biometric screening.

Once your biometric screening results have been received and processed by HealthCheck360, your Health Risk Assessment Survey will be available for completion on myHealthCheck360.

Onsite screenings for 2020-2021 will be announced in spring 2021.

What should I expect during my biometric screening?

You will be asked to fast for at least 4 hours prior to your appointment and to drink plenty of water the day of your screening. During the screening, the technician will measure your height, weight, waist circumference, as well as your blood pressure. A blood sample and urine sample will also be collected. Review What Tests Are Run and How Is My Health Score Calculated for more details. Please note that BeWell includes testing for prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and blood glucose levels (hemoglobin A1c).

How can I improve my health for the next biometric screening?

Biometrics can be improved at any age through healthy lifestyle changes. Most metrics will improve by increasing daily physical activity and establishing healthier eating habits. We recommend consulting with your physician before making any drastic lifestyle changes.
