STEP FORWARD STEP CHALLENGE

Have you ever found it tough to get 10,000 steps in a day? UCA BeWell and HealthCheck360 wants to help you reach those step goals with our Step Forward Challenge! Each week, we’ll focus on different activities to slowly increase the numbers of steps you take each day.

Better health is just a glass of water away! UCA and HealthCheck360 want to help you take your wellness goals to new heights. Drinking more water is essential to your health. After all, your body is made up of about 60% water and it helps your body and brain function better in a variety of ways. Be happy and hydrated with the Water You’re Waiting For hydration challenge. Be watching for tips on how water can improve your overall well being.

Our online tracking and mobile app keeps logging simple, so you can focus on hydrating and staying healthy! Log your hydration at least once each week of the challenge using the “Track Health- Water” feature on myHealthCheck360 to earn 10 Lifestyle Rewards. Track 210+ ounces of water each week of the challenge to also be entered into a drawing for prizes.

If you’re a Rookie just getting started or not active yet, take advantage of the nice weather to begin an exercise routine today.

Do you typically pick the same fruits and vegetables every time you grocery shop? Our Eat Colorful Challenge will have you stepping outside your food comfort zone, as we encourage you to try different fruits and vegetables! Each week, we will highlight a color of the rainbow and share some nutritional information, prep and storage recommendations, along with a healthy recipe to try!

Track nutrition at least once each week of the challenge to earn 10 Lifestyle Rewards. Track nutrition 5 or more times each week of the challenge to also be entered into a drawing for prizes:

Resiliency Challenge Logo

Sleep Counts Challenge Graphic

Are you getting enough rest? Sleep helps keep your mind and body healthy. Most adults need 7 to 8 hours of good quality sleep on a regular schedule each night. Getting enough sleep has many benefits. It can help you:

  • Get sick less often
  • Stay at a healthy weight
  • Lower your risk for serious health problems, like diabetes and heart disease
  • Reduce stress and improve your mood

Food For Thought Challenge Logo

Did you know? Sugar-sweetened beverages are the #1 source of added sugar (53 percent) in the American diet! We didn’t either and now that we do we want to raise awareness. Join students, faculty, and staff to Rethink Your Drink.

This Summer, University of Central Arkansas is helping employees swing into health with Grand Slam, a new activity challenge offered by HealthCheck360. This challenge is for Rookies and MVPs of all activity and skill levels. If you’re already active, we encourage you to increase the intensity, duration, or frequency of your activities. If you’re not active yet, take advantage of this opportunity and begin an exercise routine!

 

Grand Slam began on 07/25/2018 and played through 08/28/2018. Four completers were put into a drawing for completing 120 minutes of activity each week of the challenge. The prize is choice of $50 in BearBucks or a Garmin VivoFit3.
