What are Faculty Athletic Mentors (FAM)?

Mission: To develop student athletes into leaders in the classroom and in their sport by building stronger relationships between faculty and student athletes.

Short-term goal: Provide tools for academic success and skills to make rational life decisions.

Long-term goal: Motivate and inspire student athletes to become leaders and role models in the classroom.

 

What is a Faculty Athletic Representative?

A Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR) is a member of the faculty at an NCAA member institution who has been designated by the institution to serve as a liaison between the institution and the Athletics Department, and also as a representative of the institution in conference and NCAA affairs.
