About Christy
My journey at UCA started in 1982 as an undergraduate majoring in Business and graduated in 1985. After raising three beautiful children as a stay-at-home-mom, I went back to the work force and landed a position in 2008 as an admin in the Music Dept. My three children all attended and graduated from UCA, as did my daughter-in-law.
A promotion to the Chemistry Department occurred in 2013 and I began the MBA program in 2018, walking August 2019, smiling ear to ear. I have also transcribed for the Disability Resource Center on the UCA campus as well since 2009.
My favorite activity, as a Mimi, is watching my three grandchildren grow, as well as my now six children (my three are married) maneuver through their lives with the ups and downs.
Advising students has been a goal since I was misadvised in the 80s. The contacts and education I have received over the past 12 years is priceless as I am able to encourage and direct the business students. The excitement of watching them walk across the stage is very motivating and I am happy to do whatever I can in that journey.
