As part of our efforts to reach out to the UCA community, ACRE offers a variety of programs and opportunities for UCA students. To stay updated about special on-campus events, be sure to check out our “Upcoming Events” calendar. Students who get involved and participate at the events listed below also have the opportunity to get access to special invitation-only events that ACRE hosts throughout the academic year.

Distinguished Speaker Series:

ACRE hosts several speakers on campus throughout the academic year. These scholars, academics, and business professionals give lectures over a variety of topics related to the ACRE mission. These talks are available to UCA students and faculty as well as the local community. For more information on our past distinguished speakers, click here. Future speakers will be listed on our site under “Upcoming Events.”

Reading Groups:

Each semester ACRE gives UCA students the opportunity to apply for a paid position in weekly reading groups. Students are responsible for weekly readings and discussions over assigned readings. Students of all majors are encouraged to apply. For more information on reading groups and to apply click here,

Funded Travel Opportunities:

Interested in going to a conference or event that relates to the ACRE mission? Students attending Arkansas colleges and universities are invited to apply for travel reimbursement when they attend conferences, seminars and workshops that support and contribute to advancing the ACRE mission. Click here to find the application to apply for travel funding.

Research Assistant Positions:

If you are researching or interested in researching a topic that relates to the ACRE mission, consider applying for research positions with ACRE. These highly-competitive paid positions give students the opportunity to focus on research, get valuable feedback from ACRE staff and fellow researchers, and offer chances to present their research in academic settings.
