Kondwani Phwandaphwanda (a.k.a. Dr. K) is a native of Malawi in Africa.  He holds a doctorate degree in higher education from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.  He joined UCA in 2003 as a Resident Master in Hughes Residential College and currently serves in the same position in the Stars Residential College in Short/Denney Hall.  In addition to teaching Music Appreciation and First Experience during his time at UCA, he has also served on different committees including the UCA CORE, Student Activities Board and as an Advisor to the Student Government Association and the African Students Organization.   Dr. K. enjoys working with students and faculty through different academic programs meant to enhance student success and experience on the UCA campus.  He is also involved in other activities in Conway including coaching soccer to the youth with the Arkansas Rush Soccer Club.
