Dr. Chris Craun
Minton Commuter Master
Dr. Chris Craun joined the Learning Communities team in 2014 after 10 years of service at UCA and holds a BA from the University of Arkansas (1997) as well as a PhD from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland (2006). He is a tenured assistant professor of History (Ancient and Medieval) and a native Arkansan. Aside from teaching World History I and upper-level courses in pre-modern history, Chris enjoys playing music, watching football, working on old cars, and a good single-malt. Fishing, hunting, hiking and boating are also favorite past-times. He became the Headmaster of the Minton Commuter College because of his concern for commuters and veterans. Having completed his degrees with a family (3 children!), he has a strong affinity and empathy for non-trad students.
