Dr. Chris Craun is a native Arkansan who graduated in a class of 26 from Mineral Springs High School. After going to the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville for two years as an Engineering major, he got married and dropped out of school for three years. He returned to graduate with a degree in History in 1997 and then moved his family to Scotland in 1999 to study for a PhD in Medieval History at the University of St. Andrews. He began teaching at the University of Central Arkansas in 2004 and never plans to leave. Chris has been Headmaster of the Minton Commuter College since 2015. He is married (Jenney) with three children and two step-children and teeters wildly between work and family. His hobbies include playing music, hiking, boating, hunting, fishing, reading and old cars. He appreciates a nice dram of scotch and a pipe of tobacco, but rarely indulges in either.
