Friday, September 25th – Celebrating Dolly Parton’s Legacy
As the Faulkner County Imagination Library (FCIL) affiliate, UCA Outreach & Community Engagement will celebrate Give Like Dolly Day on Friday, September 25th! The day will be part of a nationwide effort led by the Dollywood Foundation to annually recognize Dolly Parton’s philanthropic impact through the Imagination Library program.
Along with providing outlets for giving, Outreach will partner with the Faulkner County Library and The Max Event Venue in Conway to host a series of events on 9/25 celebrating the life, music and legacy of Dolly Parton. Read below for details:
Give Like Dolly Day
The $9.25 Challenge: Give a minimum of $9.25 to help put books in the hands of local children
The Enrollment Challenge: Sponsor 9 children ($279.00), 2 children ($62.00), or 5 children ($155.00)
The Corporate Challenge: Give $925 or more to support the 4,000+ children in Faulkner County that currently receive books

Dolly’s Reading Roundabout
From Noon – 4:00pm, children will rotate between three areas or stations that will provide some sort of background or setting of the particular story that will be read to them. Local community leaders and supporters of the program will serve as readers. At the conclusion of the three stories, they will receive a refreshing treat. Reading circuits will begin every 20 minutes starting at Noon. Parents, bring out your children for a fun time and a refreshing treat. Also, while you’re at the library, get a library card at no cost to help your little one gain a love for books!
