Student Veteran Resource Center: If you are a Veteran, Service Member, Dependent, or ROTC here on campus visit the Student Veteran Resource Center (SVRC) located in room 206 D of Old Main. This is an area set up on campus just for you. There are couches, study rooms, mini fridge, TVs, gaming therapy room, school supply closet, etc. Click here to visit their site.

Disability Resource Center: For incoming Veteran students, if you have disabilities that inhibit your performance in the classroom, please check with the Disability Resource Center. For information about sign-up for these services, click here.

Office of Student Success: Old Main Hall, Suite 104. Phone: (501) 852-211. Provides programs and services designed to hep students succeed during time at the University of Central Arkansas. Services include:

Career Services: Assists students by providing access to career planning, programs, presentations, and employment opportunities.

Counseling Center: The Counseling Center is the office on campus designated to assist all current students with emotional and behavioral matters including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, relationship issues, anger, dating violence/sexual assault, and trauma/PTSD. The Counseling Center has six full time clinicians who provide individual, couples, and group counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, and outreach. We have a part-time contract psychiatrist who provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management. This information is posted on the Counseling Center website. Our office hours are 8-4:30 M-F. A counselor on call can be accessed after hours and on  weekends by calling UCA PD at (501) 450-3111. This is their current Faculty/Staff.

In addition to offering Counseling Center services to Veterans at UCA, we have an agreement with the Vet Center of Arkansas such that they provide on-site readjustment counseling once a month during the fall and spring semesters. Further information can be found here. The Vet Center provides a Veteran Support Group Meeting in the Spring and Fall Semesters. The meetings are held every other Friday, in the Student Veteran Resource Center, Old Main Rm 206D.

Veterans Upward Bound: Offering FREE remedial academic assistance to veterans who have served at least 180 days of active duty service or discharged because of a service-connected disability, received something other than dishonorable discharge, be a first generation college student and/or fall within low-income guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Education.
