For their 3rd annual season, UCA Summer Theatre will present Ken Ludwig’s Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood, June 19-28, 2026
Get excited for Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood. Known for its fast-paced storytelling and sharp wit, the production offers a bold, theatrical reimagining of the legendary outlaw and his Merry Men.
Written by Tony Award–winning playwright Ken Ludwig, Sherwood blends physical comedy, archery, swordplay, and inventive theatricality into a contemporary take on a classic tale. The play follows Robin Hood and his band of rebels as they challenge corruption, defend the powerless, and bring justice—and laughter—to the kingdom of Nottingham.
UCA Summer Theatre brings together professional artists, guest directors, and emerging theatre practitioners to create high-quality productions for Central Arkansas audiences. In just three seasons, the company has established itself as a vital part of the region’s professional arts landscape, committed to rigorous artistry, bold storytelling, and meaningful community engagement.
2026 Season Schedule
- Performances will be June 19th, 25th, 26th at 7 PM and June 20th, 21st, 27th, 28th at 2:00 PM

AUDITION INFORMATION
Auditions will be Saturday, Feburary 7th, 1-5 PM at the Bridges Larson Theatre located inside the Snow Fine Arts Center. Please prepare a 1 minute contemporary monologue, preferably comedic.
Callbacks will be Sunday, Feburary 8th, 1-5 PM in the same location. If called back expect to cold read from the script & possible minimal stage combat sequence taught by Fight Director.
All auditions must be scheduled along with a completed audition form.
