UCA Theatre Hosts Professional Development

Join us this summer! 

UCA Summer Theatre will host our 2nd Annual Professional Development for Jr. High and High School Theatre teachers on June 26th and 27th. Enjoy workshops taught by University of Central Arkansas’ Theatre Faculty and Staff, as well some cast members from our 2025 production of Ken Ludwig’s The Three Musketeers!

Expect to learn about topics such as: Stage Combat, Student Leadership, College Prep and more!!!

Cost: $50 per day, which includes lunch each day and a ticket to Friday night’s performance. (Cash or Check Only. Pay upon arrival. Checks must be made out to UCA Theatre Foundation)

THURSDAY, JUNE 26th

8:30 AM Arrive and Sign in at the Windgate Center for Fine and Performing Arts

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Student Leadership with Heather Hooten

12:00 PM- 1:00 PM – Lunch (provided)

1:00 PM – 3:00 PM An Exiting Way to Teach Shakespeare with Chris Klinger

3:00 PM – Break

3:15 PM – 4:15 PM How to prep your students for their Technical & Design Portfolios with Keagan Styes-Pena

END OF DAY 1

 

FRIDAY, JUNE 27th

8:30 AM Arrive and Sign in at the Windgate Center for Fine and Performing Arts

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM – The Art of Intimacy Direction and Charged Moments with Lauren Carlton

12:00 PM- 1:00 PM – Lunch (provided) (Head to Snow Fine Arts at 12:50 PM)

1:00 PM – 4:00 PM – Stage Combat with Chris Fritzges (Snow Fine Arts, Bridges Larson Theatre)

4:00 PM – End of Workshops

7:00 PM – Performance of The Three Musketeers

9:30 PM – END OF DAY 2
