Who’s Who
Chris Fritzges (Director)
Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Chris Fritzges has been a full-time educator at UCA in Conway since 2002, where he teaches acting, voice and movement, and directs as an associate professor. He is a member of Actor’s Equity Association and is an advanced actor combatant within the Society of American Fight Directors. Trained as an actor, Chris has been performing for audiences for over thirty years. Over the last several years, he has performed regularly with the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre and has been active in many other film, television, and radio projects in the region.
Hideaki Tsutsui (Lighting Designer/Artist in Residence)
Hideaki has designed for numerous artists and productions such as: Lantern Floating for Peace at the Lincoln Center, Garth Fagan’s Thanks 40 at the Joyce Theatre, Sweeney Todd at Madison Opera and Gravity Radio at Brooklyn Academy of Music. Before joining The University of Texas at El Paso, Hideaki served as a VP of Operations for Eggshell Light Company, where he designed over 100 productions. Hideaki also lit 2021 NCAA Final Four promotional videos as well as NASCAR SRX commercial videos for CBS Sports. He is currently the production designer for live broadcast event; Shinnyo Lantern Floating Hawaii. The event welcomes over 50,000 spectators each year and broadcasted worldwide. He is a member of USA 829.

Bryan Altstatt (Ed Boone)
Bryan is a transfer student at UCA in his first year. He is a native of Pine Bluff, now living in North Little Rock. His prior roles include Hercule Poirot in Murder on the Orient Express at the Adam Robinson Black Box Theater in Pine Bluff, Mr. Green in Clue at the Arts & Science Center in Pine Bluff, and this summer will be playing Adrian in the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre’s production of The Tempest.
Kathryn Bale (Judy)
Kathryn is a Freshman at UCA from Farmington, AR. A previous role that Kathryn has had with UCA theatre was Sarah in The Murder at Twicknam Vicarage. In high school Kathryn played roles such as Ariel in Footloose and Sandra in The Play that Goes Wrong. This summer she will be the Company Manager intern for Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre in Conway, AR.
Jimmy Bowler (Christopher)
Jimmy is a sophomore theatre major at UCA originating from Greenbrier, AR. He has performed in a selection of scenes and one acts, in the Guilt/Less immersive theatre event, and as Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors. He has gotten to stage a reading of his comedy play, Madame Willendorf, and plans to have another play of his read onstage soon. He extends unending gratitude toward his friends and family who have supported him in his endeavors
Forrest Breshears (Voice 4)
“Forrest is a Junior and a current theatre major at UCA. He’s been in productions such as Fiddler on the Roof, Wrestling with my Dignity, From Up Here, and more. He previously directed one of the Fall one-acts, The Philadelphia.”
Delaney Brown (Voice 5)
Delaney is a sophomore at UCA from Fouke, AR. Since coming to UCA, Delaney has been in multiple one-act productions, including Sure Thing (Betty), while also participating in short films with the UCA film department.
Ashton Fritzges (Roger/Voice 2)
Ashton is a Sophomore at UCA from Conway, AR. Ashton has been in various productions at UCA in both the Theatre and Film department and enjoys incorporating music into the works he does. This summer, Ashton will play the role of Francisco in Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre’s The Tempest.
Audrey Mason (Mrs. Alexander/Voice 6)
Audrey is in her first year at UCA after attending Alma High School. She has been involved in over 20 shows, the latest few being Elf: The Musical, Arsenic And Old Lace, and The Messenger. She is very excited to be a part of UCA theatre and plans to continue throughout her 4 years of college
Emberlynn Pendergraft (Voice 1)
Emberlynn is a sophomore from Blevins, AR. She is a former Digital Media Production major from Henderson State University, but they recently transferred to study Film, Theatre, and Creative Writing at UCA. This is Emberlynn’s first time performing on stage. She currently works as a backstage tech at Reynolds Performance Hall.
Danyal Renode (Voice 3)
Danyal is a Junior at UCA and is from Beebe,AR. This is his first year at UCA, transferring in after finishing his degree at Arkansas State University-Beebe. He has been in many productions, including shows like Our Town and The Old Man and the Old Moon. After graduating, Danyal intends to teach theatre.
Emma Williams (Siobhan)
Emma is so excited to be in her first main-stage production at UCA! Over the summer, she was in Much Ado About Nothing (Ensemble/Hero U/S) with Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre; and she was ensemble in the devised piece Guilt/Less. She is currently earning her BA in TESOL Linguistics and plans to teach in Japan after college. Hebrews 11:26
Spot (Sandy)
Spot Grice is the puppy of Justice Grice and Tyler Lawrence. He is an Australian Shepherd and Labrador mix and is 8 weeks old. This is his acting debut. He would like to thank Justice Grice, Tyler Lawrence, Alli Wildman, Shelby Bates, Caden Sibert, and Seth Trostel for watching over him and allowing him to perform.
