Pediatric Residency Curriculum

Curriculum
Mentored clinical experiences, provided in correlation with guided independent practice and didactic learning opportunities, provide each resident with the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills across the spectrum of pediatric physical therapy. Curricular elements include Program-based Learning Modules that are focused on clinical practice immersion in various settings including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, specialty clinics, preschool, school and outpatient settings and externally developed APTA Pediatric Residency and Fellowship Consortium modules for didactic content that focuses primarily on medical conditions encountered in pediatric practice. In addition, structured experiences with the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program enhance resident knowledge of family centered learning.
