Dr. Kevin Garrison has been a faculty member in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Central Arkansas for over 20 years and has served as Department Chair since 2019. He earned his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Marquette University, with a specialization in rehabilitation bioengineering. He holds both a BS in Physical Therapy and an MS in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Tech University.
As an associate professor, Dr. Garrison teaches courses in gross anatomy, clinical kinesiology, and biomechanics. His research focuses on biomechanical and biophysical signal measurement and analysis to characterize pathologies associated with functional impairments. He is particularly interested in the development and evaluation of novel outcome measures to assess treatment efficacy.
