Dr. Sarah Walker, PT, DPT, PhD, PRPC, CAPP-OB
Adjunct Faculty Member
Dr. Sarah Walker is teaching in the Department of Physical Therapy as an Adjunct Faculty member. In Fall 2024 she is teaching second year DPT students in Therapeutic Exercise and third year DPT students in Medical Screening. Dr. Walker has been working as a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist since 2015. She is a Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner (PRPC) and holds her Certificate of Achievement in Pregnancy/Postpartum Physical Therapy from the Section on Women’s Health (CAPP-OB). Dr. Walker received her PhD in Physical Therapy in 2023 from UCA as well as her DPT degree in 2015. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, both from the University of Arkansas, Little Rock.
Dr. Walker completed her dissertation in November of 2023 entitled Smart Solutions: A Single-blind Randomized Controlled Trial Comparing Smartphone-based Home Exercise to the Paper-based Standard Of Care on Pelvic Floor Weakness Outcomes and Home Exercise Adherence. Her Committee Chair was Dr. David Taylor and Committee Members included: Dr. Melissa Allen, Dr. Darla Cathcart, Dr. Mark Mennemeier, and Dr. Jacquie Rainey. Dr. Walker is currently an Outpatient PT at Advanced Physical Therapy in Little Rock, AR.
