Dr. Mankey has been a faculty member at the University of Central Arkansas since 1996. She received her Ed.D. in Higher Education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Dr. Mankey also received her Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Central Arkansas.

Dr. Mankey is also the Occupational Therapy Coordinator for an interdisciplinary leadership training grant, Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Other Related Disabilities (LEND). The program involves interdisciplinary training, research and leadership projects for graduate occupational therapy students who serve children with disabilities and their families.

 

Research Interests

Her research agenda focuses on pediatric occupational therapy practice in a variety of settings. Specifically, Dr. Mankey’s line of inquiry is geared towards occupational therapy in transition planning and special education services. Her current efforts are aimed on establishing and promoting the role of occupational therapy in secondary transition services at both the state and national levels.
