Dr. Ryan is a Clinical Instructor who has practiced occupational therapy in multiple practice areas, primarily in pediatric inpatient rehabilitation. Prior to becoming a full-time faculty member, Dr. Ryan provided instruction on a part time basis from 2010 until 2018. Dr. Ryan’s areas of interest are in pediatric neurorehabilitation, assistive technology, administration and management as well as governmental relations related to occupational therapy practice.

Dr. Ryan holds a post-professional doctorate in occupational therapy from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. He holds graduate and undergraduate degrees from the University of Central Arkansas. Prior to a career change to become an occupational therapist, Dr. Ryan worked in the business community holding managerial positions in accounting and operations, information technology and sales and marketing.

Dr.  Ryan intends to further his research related to occupation-centered assistive technology use, earn his assistive technology professional (ATP) certification as well as complete his Master’s of Business Administration.
